It is necessary to understand that after the child ascends to rule the nations with an iron of rod , the woman can no longer symbolize the Virgin since the next public event is merely her assumption , which which means that after this, she has no public presence in divine revelation in history following the Ascension.
In other words, after that the Christ ascends , effectively the virgin's role in public relations ceases except for the knowledge of her assumption.
This is in part because no Christian is ever obliged to believe in any private Revelation even Fatima
not that we should deny it out right but technically technically , even Fatima is not part of public Revelation and therefore Mary has no public rolee definitively after the Ascension
Hence effectively after the Christ child ascends into heaven to rule the nations with an rod of iron ,
the woman can no longer be mary in any context if we are to remain in a simple chronological context. This is because immediately after the the Ascension of the Christ child
Nothing good happens in terms of the woman coming to heaven but rather a terrible war in heaven after which the dragon is cast down
Consequently, she can only be the church and therefore we must interpret the rest of Apocalypse 12 as the ages of the church where the dragon is persistently trying to harm her.
The only other way to see her as the Virgin would be to argue that it is not chronological but this really then nullifies any mysticism to the apocalypse because it could only tell us things that are already known in the gospel which is not help us really
Hi father, this isn't really what I meant.
Of course Mary plays personal roles within the redemption of Christ and within our personal lives and so forth.
What I mean is that the rest of Apocalypse 12 would clearly refer to ages of the church and Mary does not positively gude ages of the church nor does her son through a direct revelatory presence and human history after the death of the last apostle.
